I heard this theory a while ago that the planet used to be covered in huge trees but were all wiped out or cut down... somehow. It's a stupid theory to believe but I like the story and it scratches my megalophobia itch. I tried to capture that in this piece.

The Snow covered up the grass with her great white cloak, and the Frost painted all the trees silver. Then they invited the North Wind to stay with them, and he came. He was wrapped in furs, and he roared all day about the garden, and blew the chimney-pots down.

This whole sequence was very, very fun, especially experimenting with a leaf texture I made. You can see the texture in most trees, ground, and sometimes in the abstract backgrounds. 🍂

If there is one Star Wars planet you wish you could spend your life on, which one would it be?

I think I'll forever enjoy Kashyyyk. Wookie architecture/cities? Giant world trees? Gigantic fucking misty forests full of unfathomable amounts of species? It's a biologist's paradise.

alright, I did a thing... could not be happier. Meet Noel, my first ! Or rather, my son's. He's a gentle soul despite his thick bark. A wise boy, a lover of trees, birds and everything pink and purple.

Or are you heading to the countryside to see the stunning autumn colours, like the trees in John Berney Ladbrooke’s ‘Pollard Oaks’, oil on canvas, 1874? Those leaves look like they’d be satisfyingly crunchy to walk on… (2/3)
