Artist tip: sometimes using punchy saturated colors is not it chief (Bakugo and May). It’s ok to go desaturated and develop and control your colors. The more controlled your colors are, the more likely they will work together to formulate an idea

Colouring Noir with pure black feels so weird even tho black is literally his theme bc I still use tinges of colours even for my OCs with black hair (I use a deep desaturated blue for him)

Little tip some of you might enjoy: don't use bright white to color ur character's eyes! I usually use a very light desaturated version of one of the colors in the character's scheme or very very light grey :)

If we’re talking about M&L artwork then I have to say that I loved the original desaturated/painted rendering they used to have. But I also really love how they cranked up the saturation for DT and Paper Jam’s artwork too (DT's ethereal blue outlines also go a long way)
