Sakuma's design was primarily inspired by the Pokemon Sawk. When developing the story, Sawk's original oni inspiration became one for Sakuma as well, leading into the look for him in the second arc.

Agreed. When I draw my character, she has a flat chest though it's developing with mine 🤭. I think it's not only cute, but representation in any form never hurt anyone (that I know of)
