I think I was wrong in that gradients aren't fully gone, but they're not used nearly as much as they were in peace. take a look at retsu and fuga (top), and then suiri (no visible gradients on clothes) and nyami (one gradient used to shade pants)

if your fursonas have.. very similar colors next to each other, please outline them in your reference :,) it is very hard to tell em apart. if you cant do this, at least point where the gradient starts or ends or tell me those are different colors :,)

I don't have her original reference since it was almost 20 years ago, but she used to have turquoise eyes, a black to blue beak gradient, an extra line of dots down each side of her neck, and blue fetlocks on her hind legs.
