Okay... One more revision. XP In the last version, the palm of her hand alone could cover three quarters of her face; that's excluding the fingers! That's not natural. I also did some more polishing of the shading and highlights.

This should be the final draft. Phew....

I usually sketch, line art, then value render until I feel satisfied. I use a Hue/Saturation to change my value color to a base color. I add some other colors underneath that base and add more objects like eyes. I use liquify to fix the shape and add hair and highlights.

While I love purple, especially modern Gengar's usual shades, I have to admit that I feel like the point of the design is kinda lost when you make it so light. I mean it's supposed to be a shadow, and originally it was just that, a dark shadowy figure with purple highlights.

Did a quick test with some of the functions I don't use... If I localize the colour dodge a bit more, I can make some nice subtle highlights...

Looks like something is razzle dazzling in his vicinity to make lighting like that, kyahahaha!

Now that I'm feeling better again I went back to work on my She Ra fanart. <3 Finished fiddling with line width and placement, and did the shading and highlights. Though I may fiddle more with those, for the most part I think I'm done. x3 Just the background left to go!

the main things you gotta remember are noodle limbs (if ur going for straight sa1), airbrush for the darker tones, and watercolor brush for the highlights. im still not too familiar with the line art myself but heres something was kind enough to provide me
