For me it was my dad and my uncle

My dad didn't play many games but seeing him play Duke Nukem 3D was a riot

And my uncle used to work at Microsoft so through him I discovered a world of computer building and gaming ^-^

The downside to just going with the flow and never planning out your drawings is that you will hit a wall if you don't finish in 1 sitting and return to the drawing. You will also run into proportion issues.
