It's interesting how much Paper Mario 64 and TTYD is inspired by and borrowed from Yoshis Island. People like to compare how Boos look in 64/TTYD vs the new modern, standardized design. The old look wasn't a stylistic choice, but rather the design from Yoshis Island.
