"Mankind blunders through the world, crushing what it does not understand; elves, dragons, magic...the list is endless. We must stem the tide or be left with nothing more than the mundane. This I know to be true." -Morrigan

For years ‘Honeysuckle’ (1883) was assumed to have been designed by William Morris. BUT this bestseller was by his daughter, May Morris, #BOTD 1862. An embroiderer, designer, jeweller, socialist and activist, she founded the Women's Guild of Arts and taught @margaretstreet 💫

March 24, 1834: William Morris, English textile designer and leading member of the Arts and Crafts Movement, is born.
Morris was a lifelong friend of artist Edward Burne-Jones and they collaborated on a number of exquisite tapestries, including "The Failure of Sir Gawaine". 🎨
@CarlyanneMcCon1 "No pattern should be without some sort of meaning." (William Morris)
