Male bataar. Keratinous ridges on the muzzle and throat skin are brightly coloured and the feathery throat integument is quite dense, it could be a breeding male.
I imagined as a display structure rather than a functional thermo-regulation coat.

Lucian notes: While they look wolf like, the Gransis mountain foxkin still retain the longer more pointed ears of their Eastern Kitsuzuma kin. Also their muzzles tend to be shorter and more pointed.
