The Red Bird-of-Paradise in particular had a lot of refining and rendering between stages. Believe it or not, I only spent roughly 3 hours per card, so it was a real exercise in nailing down details quickly and moving on to the next one.

So I experimented with a simple portrait. Sketch elements combined with clean art style and I like this a lot. Itll take some refining but I think it adds some depth I can't reach with just cellshading.

Day 1868: Details! I'm really on track this week! It feels great! Made a decent amount of progress with refining her, and I think I'm already almost done. Going to get some feedback on it on how to improve it to finish off the week but I am already content! A super nice feeling.
