Someone please tell me BoTW 2 was giving off Twilight Princess vibes to them as well. The float-y rune looking text, the reverse vocals, hieroglyphs, ominous. It's already been theorized twili have a connection to the sheikah slate.

Basically, BotW but Link dies instead of the other champions. Since he's a powerful spirit with ties to sheikah technology, he's able to possess dead and untainted guardians. Once they rescue him of course.
