I love Watanabe's artwork but I really dislike when he makes the rawest design and then the official image looks like this
This was very close to what was being used in the product of a different company, so they needed to change how they looked as well. So Watanabe took inspiration from American comic artists who did books like "Spawn" in order to create a more different style, that we have now.
