thankies uwu when i do the skin i do the base color then i create a multipy layer on top shade with the simple cell technique and blend that after,then i create another multipy layer for the shadows,and one more multiply layer to darken the whole skin,after that i add highlights

I do totally get what you mean tho, proper use of highlights is hard with anime. I think best use I've seen of it was with Jojo part 3 anime (added a metallic texture) and worst Dragonball Super
