Not a ton of pictures available to use for comparison but I'm wondering if parts of Kazuma's Proud Fist final form in s-CRY-ed (2001) were inspired - even unconsciously so - by Guy Shishiou's cyborg armor forms in GaoGaiGar (1997). I think it's definitely possible.

They’ve been close to earth more times than I can count and never gets an attack in bc my rolls are always lower than the proper armor class.
