On June 3rd, my mother died. It was heartbreaking, but we were also so glad she would not suffer anymore.

I fell deeper into a hole, which pushed me further into work and self-doubt. My family visited me for my birthday, but it all felt like a blur.

For those who get depressed around this time of years, I used to dread the holidays when I was younger. It felt like a ton of bricks on my chest when everyone was so damn jolly. Sweets helped for 5 seconds than guilt of being a fat fuck set in. It will get better. Xo Van
