I really pushed myself on this piece and had to learn how to render lots of new things, most notably the light refraction under and on top of the water. There are lots of things I wish I'd done differently, but I learned a lot from it
This is the very first RefToon I created, setting the tone and style for all of the ones that came after. For about 2 years this sat in a notebook unfinished until Oct. 17 of 2017 when I finally pushed the GO button for this comic series.

as for favourite work, i think it's tied between these two illos. i think it's mostly just the nice colours but i also feel like i pushed myself a bit in designing them, and it paid off (which is not always a guarantee).
