A Hob Lantern for this week’s theme — widespread light-bearing fae that lure the unwary traveller from their path through the marsh. Such bog dwellers have many names, including Nimble men (Scot.), Hinky-punk (Westcountry) and of course will-‘o-the-wisp.

"Come Fairies, take me out of this dull world, for I would ride with you upon the wind and dance upon the mountains like a flame!" (W.B. Yeats)

On a more sombre note, there's the sluagh, the host of restless dead turned fae. They certainly dance, too, though

This is quite old no (from last year I think!)

A character of mine I never talk about, Robin the Fae Court Jester. Eventually I'd like to finish the comic I'm sloly picking at that features him (one day, one day....)

The Seelie & Unseelie are the light & dark courts of the Fae respectively. Seelie even shares a root with the Scottish word for "happy." But don't let that fool you, the Seelie are just as dangerous as their more covertly destructive counterparts. Art: B. Froud

My fav character I've played was Dawn Angelbane, a lavender, extremely goth tiefling warlock (fae patron) with a heart of gold and a really sunny disposition!! She likes to knit socks and sneakily gift them to companions 😈 My sister drew this icon of her 💜

Cordelia's wings! However, they're very small because her magic has been stunted. So She can usually hide them beneath a coat or cloak. But they've started to grow again in recent years!
