@miloslines yeah no problem! sorry that was a lot of info, comics is just something I'm really passionate about. there's honestly a ton of ways to do references, but one trick I found helpful is that if you flip a character, you can just draw their back like this

This is the most "classic" Sonic I've drawn since I was a kid I think. I've drawn him many, many different ways in comics and other projects, it's funny how the muscle memory for drawing old-school Sonic is still there.
