What IS Anemone's role in the story? Is she a clever way to provide exposition to the audience while also existing in this world logically? Where does she LIVE? She seems to live alone, maybe on purpose. I'm very excited to see her in-comic in the future.

There seemed to be a connection between Tessa and Goop, but Tessa was unaware of Goop lurking outside her window, giving Anemone a dead end in her investigation. She knows something is off about Goop's presence. She's trying to find out why. WHO is Goop?

Things got interesting as soon as Anemone appeared in Chapter 12, because that meant she had more of a role than just providing exposition to us. Her power seems to have some sort of impact on the world. She approached Tessa looking for something. She didn't find it.

However, Anemone's power seems to also be a curse. People either don't or CAN'T understand what she knows and tries to tell them. As a result, no one believes what she says. Except the audience. We can understand. Which is probably why she talks to us so often.

Anemone either knows who Dream MG is personally, or simply remembers her from her dream. Dream MG might talk to new MG's about their duty in their Dreams, but for some reason, they forget it. Anemone seems to have a deeper relationship with Dream MG, though.

Tessa, Undine, Vedika, and even Anemone herself have had their eyes do this.
My guess is that woman is either The Founder, or the OG Magical Girl, the first one ever. She is responsible for bestowing powers to girls, though why no one can remember her is unclear.

To me, Anemone is implied to be some sort of magical girl herself. I believe her main power is being aware of the inner workings of the universe she resides in. She is aware of everything that goes on in it, as evidenced here. It allows her to talk to us.
