i loved kai's reflections bc he also valued the little pauses in volleyball along with the grueling practice he endured. it's such a precious detail to add about someone who isn't exactly a "monster" of the sport but still enjoyed playing and didn't want it to end just yet.

the special chapter reminded me of chapter 291 especially. you can work hard and do everything properly and make no mistakes–but it still wouldn't diminish the bitterness of defeat. having no regrets doesn't mean you won't look back on the final moments in frustration.
