The 7Days layout was inspired on popular romance games (as example Mystic Messenger), which explains the "chat bubble" style.

Though they believed the game wouldn't fit as this kind of romance, and decided to stick with a more mystery focused story.

Never played the Amiga version of Toobin before.
Gave it a quick try. It's actually pretty good. It's hard to do the graphics exactly, with the lower resolution of the Amiga. But they did a good job of re-pixelling the character and the backgrounds. Level layouts feel good too.
