First of all, gen 2 has a slew of units who are immune to the pairing system. Seliph, Julia, Oifey, Shannan, Leif, Altenna, Finn, Hannibal, Ares, Johan/Johalavier, all are going to be roughly the same no matter what. Their pairings are pre set or don't exist.
