Beyond the fact that it is completely different in its final form, the basis for the design of the fractus empusa in the chapter is based on the mantis of the same name, with antennae and a protuberance that looks like a horn. Mostly for fun but I did the concept years ago in 3D

A concept I had years ago of a lone Kyo clone..😳Genetically flawed, he can't generate flames naturally. His modified blood crystallizes & turns gaseous; only by shedding it can he create fire. he's short-lived, despised by other clones. He hates original.
The concept of Kara have to listen to Kal talking about his nemesis boyfriend all day. Like, I am so tired, my cousin keep admiring his arch nemesis, boys get your shit together… and she still have to do this for her cousin doom-love story.

After figured out that each sinners have their own color palette , i decided to give him red to orange palette for his post cataclysm

this was my original concept for the rosette, but a lot of smaller details were changed!! i allowed merumeru-san to adjust the design to whatever would look best, and with some communication we came to a final product that turned out even better than the original image!
I really like these concepts, but it’s all just been sketches. Hope I’ll have more time to draw — or can draw faster 😢.
