Hello fans, it is Silent Film Sunday. Today I watched THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI (1920) dir. Robert Wiene. This is the second movie I've watched for Silent Film Sunday that has been a perfect film (the other is The Passion of Joan of Arc.) This film is essential.

I'm going to be posting some more school stuff soon, but have a redraw from The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)

(one of my finals is with this film but I took the chance to just draw in my own style for fun)

sakusa agrees on going as cesare the somnambulist for halloween if that means he'll just be standing on 1 corner 'asleep' 90% of the time, hence the smug smile. he doesn't yet know that he also has to drag bodies around

meanwhile dr. caligari komori gets to order him around

100 years “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” released February 26, 1920. This German silent film is often considered the first horror film. I remember watching this in film history class at UCF. A dark & twisted style.
