Surprisingly, it broke away from the obsessions of the films to put the spotlight on the biggest, baddest new species to trump the last, & instead introduced smaller ones.

A-shu the Qianzhousaurus is a tyrannosaurid dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous. Its fossils were discovered in Jiangxi, China. It was about 9 meters long and different from most tyrannosaurs of its time.

Eurycephalosuchus is an extinct genus of Chinese alligators from the Late Cretaceous of Jiangxi Province, China. It had a wide, short, and robust skull, due to the size of the skull it would make Eurycephalosuchus one of the smallest extinct alligatoroids so far.

"Ikrandraco avatar" was an Early Cretaceous pterodactyloid from North China, with characteristic deep crest on the lower jaw, similar to one seen on the flying creatures (Ikrans) from the Sci-Fi blockbuster.

Hatzegopteryx (Hațeg Wing) is an azhdarchid from Late Cretaceous Romania! At a height of around 18 feet tall and a wingspan of 33 to 39 feet long, making it one of the largest known pterosaurs and far larger than most fauna of Hateg Island- (1/2)
