Years ago I created this illustration of a building that was shaped like the continental United States. Or more accurately, took on that shape when viewed from one particular angle. I tried to make it look like something that could theoretically be built, three dimensionally.
Once upon a time, a sentient tombstone had a torrid affair with a higher-dimensional entity which appeared to be a common house at when perceived in 3D space… Something like EIGHT YEARS LATER, this turquoise gargoyle-cat is arriving to annoy one of my characters. 🤣

It's always a priority for me when making characters that they be able to express themselves in a way that feels natural and in-character for them...
I want my OCs to have a sense of multi-dimensionality and interiority to them, even when they're just static drawings.
