With every cloud, there are always silver linings, even with a cloud as dark and heavy as 2020. With how often information could change every day, it’s been difficult to plan for the future. It helped me learn how to get through the day and take it as it came.

This year, I‘m mainly focusing on getting my Kickstarter campaign set up! So it’s not for Christmas per say but it’ll be live on the lead up!
I’m also considering putting my little Sweet tree decoration back into the shop!

This little mermaid was my first stab at trying out a technique I've been experimenting with recently and I think it is going to completely change the way I work. I shared more about the process on Instagram for

DAY 21 * CHANGE

0 1

Today’s is all about planning. If I’m honest I’m not planning much right now with the current global situation so I thought I would share this drawing again instead. This was initially created to represent the journey I went through with chronic illness...1/2

Do you like light backgrounds or dark backgrounds? To me it depends on the subject matter. Tho I am slightly more partial to darker ones.

For today’s I would like to hear from you. Do you prefer to only see finished art posts or do you like seeing work in progress posts as well as finished posts? Let me know below 🙂

Photography plays a very important role in my artistic process. I feel like I can’t call an artwork mine unless I’ve have had a hand in its entirety from start to finish. It’s limiting but it’s also helped me appreciate subjects that aren’t always appreciated.

Day 21- Change

I’m still pretty early on in my business so there haven’t been many changes yet... but I guess we’ll start with one of the more easy to show ones- the pigeons character designs from 2018 and 2020! See if you can spot the differences! 👀

Here are a few designs to look out for on my packing if you have something in the post that’s on it way to you 👀🔮
They might even make onto a few new mugs too ✨😁

PACKAGING

Haven't had to send out enough of stuff to justify setting up some custom packaging. When I've sent a drawing I've put it in a plastic sleeve strapped to some rigid cardboard and chucked it in a padded envelope with a person… https://t.co/FYUCUXeRh6

Proud of: I’m so chuffed of this portrait I completed about a month ago, it definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone with it not being a girl 😆 the customer was really happy with how it came out and that I captured their son’s character yay 😊

Day 18 of is technique/skill. Drawing people is something I am continually practising. Ive learnt to pick out features that make someone recognisable and focus on getting them right. Its not perfect but I love it when I start to see the drawing coming to life!

proud of.
What I’m most proud of is getting through a tough few years (emotionally not virus-ly), finding my inner & charging forth into 2020 with optimism (hello, old Kate)! No way will I lose that again. We can do it, gang. We are each other’s Iorek 💙

I'm proud of my Meowth painting! I'm also really proud of how far I've come. I used to be too nervous to draw or paint in front of people. In University I was so worried about the professors and other students watching me while I worked.
