Well this came full circle... I do the concept art for their ad campaigns. Whenever they ask for mixed race couples, I make the guy PoC. (Casting just follows the way it's drawn.)

There's something to be said for having diversity behind the scenes. ✌️🏾

This is my biggest problem with the art community. everytime someone draws a character that's connected to a POC race, it's some how seen as a racist caricature to the public. EVEN THOUGH, They'll look at an ACTUAL Racist caricature, and think that it's the Best way to draw POC.

Not that anyone cares, but a viewer asked to cosplay despite being a POC. I said "the design is like clothing, POC would look absolutely gorgeous in cosplay as well.

On the left you see someone you took the time to redesign characters as poc. On the right you see just plain whitewashing. No they didn’t design her as a different rabbit and no whitewashing her didn’t make her any cuter.
