Ready for some big news? My class “Bring Life Into Your Drawings: a Combination of Realism and Anime Art" is now up for pre-order on Coloso (@colosoglobal).
I’ll teach you the essential skills for you to design distinct characters! Starting with getting the proportions right,… https://t.co/KAkNeJU1wp
Made a little guide of how I understand the proportions of the face, this is an approximate of something realistic and really simplified btw but hope helps someone! This work for me in every style you just have to change or simplify it also sorry for my hand write 😭
So I've been experimenting with drawing faces recently, while also learning proper facial proportions.
Here are my first attempts. as you can see they look a bit goofy, but I think I got the hang of it with the AK-12 I posted earlier... #ドルフロ #GirlsFrontline
The way I drew Sunday Dakimakura before Lyney and Scara lord have mercy on me (the full version is with me but I'm too shy to share bcs I feel like it's a bit disproportionate let me tweak it more ueueue)
Whenever I need to draw complex objects on characters like Cecilia's gears & violin, it's honestly faster for me to just quickly put together some low poly models and draw over top to get correct proportions and angles. 🤔
Clean up and more proportion tweaks (mostly head related)
Flats + more details and arms proportions fixes~
I did draw her once before but this time I want to give her the plump proportions that befit a Tsuchinoko. Plus I believe my art has improved significantly since then.
I discovered that a huge portion of my followers are western. It was surprising at first, but I do use English A LOT in my works. It gave me the impression some see me as a writer more than an artist.
Basically, I want to engage with a bigger audience, so more art, less writing.
copying instead of learning the basics are also the reason why most """"attempt"""" to emulate "ANIME!!!" art style fails in horrible ways.
They just see through the caricature, not looking that a bunch of "manga eyes/proportion" is just a twisted real life human anatomy--
It's crazy a decent portion of my audience is shocked, like
when I mentioned I'm a mobile artist 😭, thought I made it obvious ngl
Day 790: 3rd Yomu study.
Still having trouble with eyeballing the proportions, especially the head. I know what the problem is, I just need to be more focused when sketching.
FIXED HIS FACE PROPORTIONS CAUSE HE LOOKED SO UGLY #oc https://t.co/N7UhStg2O6
Day 782: Warm ups and heads. Distance/proportion are still hard. Maybe I'll do a practice chart with many front/back views sometime.
[WIP]
Lyu's charasheet be almost done, only need to redraw her main sprite now cuz the old one is......old, and had many proportion issues that were only fixed in later versions😗
Practicing a new workflow with 3D models. It really helps to have models that are tailored to the proportions I want.
Gesture -> 3D -> Refine
