The only sonic designs I really have issue with are the AoSTH / USA / SatAM designs, because of the weirdly separate single row of quills that stick awkwardly out of the back of his head. I think they really break the flow of his otherwise smooth design.

I love how they work somewhat like Mickey mouse's ears the way they kind of move with whatever way he's facing, depending on the style of course.

Maybe she has a special hair gel or somethin to keep her quills down, the movies confirmed the their heads mostly have fur on them with quills underneath, and Movie Sonic can style his hair in anyway he wants, so Amy could've just shaved her back quill, and combed her hair down.
