I always like to have some of the character’s name referenced in their design! ( e.g. wings on Dovewing, heart on Tigerheartstar, root-shaped stripes on Rootpaw, etc )
I also love playing around with colours + design choices when it comes to families, to make them linked somehow!

I finally got around to designing the protagonists in The Broken Code! Rootpaw is spiky and his stripes look like roots, Bristlefrost has pelt colours from both her parents, and Shadowpaw is Round and Soft™️
