‘Misty Mountains' - I am a huge runner, and have completed 35 /100 marathon goal. My favourite place is Snowdonia in Wales and I was inspired to paint this from my Winter Trail half marathon in the Coey-Y-Brenin Forest park in Snowdonia in Jan.

'The Old Boat House' 24x18inch, oil.
I saw this rusty old tin boat house whilst visiting Snowdonia National Park in north Wales in 2012, it's near Caernarfon. With it's rusty tin shed charm I new it would make an interesting painting.

It was a old farmhouse in Snowdonia, bought by her grandfather in 1864. It had a blackened range & polished dresser & elm chests of darned linen sheets. In winter, it became quite cut off from the world & all its cares, a boat adrift in the mountains with its blue plume of smoke.
