her design is based off of goshikku gyaru, a gyaru subculture! lots of skulls too and if you notice, her clothing alludes to some shrine maiden motifs :D she wears these to commemorate her past life as she was a miko! since she's broke, most of her clothes were.. "borrowed"

-kogal/gyaru subculture in Japan, at least around the late 90s and early 00s. While I like many of the characters, Ran herself steals the show. Super Gals! was also my first exposure to Tokyo's Shibuya ward.
