My #illustration titled "Sleeping Smaug" (watercolor on paper, 42x59,4 cm - A2, 2016, SOLD), based on "the Hobbit" by #Tolkien. Luckily, I've finished this before the second Hobbit movie, so this dragon is just mine - not a copy of any kind.

Il 2 ottobre 1980 veniva pubblicato nel Regno Unito "Unfinished Tales" dalla George Allen & Unwin, a cura di Christopher Tolkien.
È di nuovo disponibile nelle librerie e sui siti di e-commerce "Lo Hobbit a fumetti", trasposizione a fumetti dell'opera di #Tolkien.

Sept 7, 1989.
TREASON OF ISENGARD is published, the seventh volume of THE HISTORY OF MIDDLE-EARTH and the second volume to THE HISTORY OF THE LORD OF THE RINGS, edited by Christopher #Tolkien.
@QuillQuestions In terms of content: Tolkien, the people who created Warhammer (fantasy, 40k, and Total War), and the author who designed "Pooh's Adventures", a poorly-done fanfic crossover.
Writing style: most likely Tolkien.
Hamlet and Eärendil - a Thread.
(1) It is perhaps hard to think of two more different strands of European story and myth than Shakespeare and Tolkien. Indeed, the author of Middle-earth was none too fond of the Bard. And yet, two of their greatest tales are deeply interlinked.

Just finished reading Fellowship of the Ring.
I read somewhere that J. R. R. Tolkien wrote a "wrathful" response when he saw Legolas fan art that depicted him as "pretty" & "ladylike". He wanted Legolas to be super manly.
I decided to ignore Tolkien.
