Ah, I gotcha. Anime I feel is a lot more simplistic in lighting, where it's basic highlight-shadow, and things like bounce lighting (like on Usagi's hair) are more flair than structure. It's more reliant on flattening shadows into straight lines than a 3D representation.

Haha, yeah, the most I've done is drawing Metal Sonic a LONG time ago (2010-ish). With your Gunpla hobby, I feel like you'd be able to draw a mech with great detail. Especially if you've made custom ones in games like Gundam.
