I don't like perfection in portraits. Perfect faces are dead for me, I like little glitches like moles, gray hair, wrinkles that life leave on us.

All kind of beauty

zombie-apocalypse AU
the clearing is quite and there is a rabbit in the distance, the promise of a needed meal. he turns and she is towering above him, standing on a log. then she smiles, wrinkles her nose, parts her lips and just for a second, the world is not broken.

This new art finally portraits exactly how Fyodor is supposed to look like. The subtle messy strands of his raven hair, the wrinkles under his hooded eyes and the way he slightly tilts his head and stares intensely into the "camera" as if he can see into ones soul

Hi! My constructive criticism would be to use less hard linework to define things that would be better left to shading. We are trained to perceive hard linework as the contours of an object, so a lot of interior linework tends to make people look EXTRA gaunt, wrinkled and folded.

I remember someone on DeviantART (ages ago) leaving a thoughtful comment on how I was one of the few artists who was not afraid to age up her OCs—like draw them getting older with wrinkles and whatnot. The trick is appreciation. There are things I appreciate about every age.

I've been working on multiple projects this month, this is my first time using layers in zbrush to do these wrinkles.

Depends on the texture of clothing to me a lot of the time, if I draw in any clothing wrinkles I circle them around the shape with shading, as well as emphasize the under portion with shading to bring out weight! I also keep the top a little lighter for that rounder feel!

can't believe that during those 400 years, flapjack apparently had a better skincare routine in the bat queen's cave than the fella who was cherished and cared for by the clawthornes. look at those wrinkles, that is a senior citizen

Guts' wrinkled clothes are harder to draw than Griffith's nakedness. ガッツの下はシブに有るよ。 髪のびたよねーw

a lot of artists know that dark-skinned people have lighter-colored palms, soles of feet, etc
but they also have more pronounced/more contrasting lines/wrinkles on their palms - but more importantly there's less melanin on thr fingertips too

I love drawing the owner with that one little wrinkle of disgust
