X is for Xanthorhiza Aphfolia, a deciduous shrub which produces purple flowers. This is from a printed series of beautifully coloured botanical species.

B is for Bee Beetle and other beautiful beasties. The Hymenoptera of Angus consists of 39 detailed watercolour studies of a range of species local to Angus. These were drawn by artist David Waterson between 1919-1923.
