Kenojuak Ashevak is just about my favourite Canadian artist. Jaw dropping display of work on campus until mid-April. College gallery 1 in the MacKinnon building at #usask. 😍
For #indiginousPeoplesday, here is Inuit artist Kenojuak Ashevak (1927-2013) with a flock of owl paintings (fyi, that's a "parliament" of owls). Born in an igloo in the NW territories, Canada, she won many artistic accolades, and also had 11 children & adopted 7 more.
