Currently looking for some cool posters to represent diversity in scientists of Biology. I've gotten a nice looking Rosalind Franklin poster and a George Washington Carver poster to go along with Darwin.

Anyone know of some neat biology scientist posters?

Just wanting to talk about "hip dips" here. You have two bony protrusions, the greater trochanter from your femur and the illiac crest from your pelvis. Between them is little to no muscle tissue. It is a product of your human biology. It IS okay to have human features.

"Audra is from Baytown, TX, and graduated from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with a degree in organismal biology. But her artist interests in collecting stationary led her to KawaiiChikkie instead!"

Like everybody else in the world of science, I've been having fun exploring the database of AlphaFold structures. Here are (subunits of) a few proteins that show up often in my paintings. It (amazingly) gets all the bits and pieces right, but doesn't quite yet get the biology.

When faulty lightbulbs being dumped in the desert come into contact with cacti, they gain sentience and somehow get incorporated into the biology. As they grow they amass more electricity, until they overload, shattering the lightbulb and their innocence

Illustration „Full of Life” inspired by an article by “Life as we know it is likely only one island in the vast archipelago of possibilities for biology. Our galaxy has a huge diversity of stars, and orbiting them are planets of every kind.”

As an Old God, Y'llan doesn't exactly have the most normal biology.
In his more mortal form, he still has an itty bitty tail that can wag a mile a minute!
It's very sweet.

Oh man, hello! I primarily do retro inspired OC art, with an interest in folklore and speculative biology. I'm working on a few soft sci-fi comics, but for now I mostly just make stuff for tabletop games.

Yeah I sure am a shitty talentless trartist (lmao) that can’t possibly draw based on my inability to conceptualise basic biology. I even think dogs are blue. Sad. ;)

This is one of my Pokémon OCs, Fynn! He is a trans man born in Slateport City in the Hoenn region and he spent most of his childhood around the ocean and in the Oceanic Museum, which sparked his interest in Water-type Pokémon and marine biology.

"I studied Biology. I've always liked drawing and improved my skills while studying human anatomy. After graduating, I pursued my dream as an artist in the end and I have no regrets."

I.... Made myself in a picrew and went.... That would be a cool model...
After that, it kinda tumbled out of control as I went straight to making my model, and eventually planning like pages upon pages of lore, including gargoyle biology.

Seeing as today is I want to talk about books 📚

Right now I’m reading non-fiction, Microbe hunters by Paul de Kruif, a book about the discoveries in Microbiology.

What about you people?✨

Some fun speculate biology. Herpaxis are mammalian herbivores who live on grassy steppes in burrows. Males will butt heads for territory control, and the right to mate with a harem of females. The larger ears point back for sounds behind them, with smaller ears pointing forward.

Other races found in the game, though these were more design notes than actually going into their cultures/biology.

The importance and problems of choice, both in Shakespeare and Biology.
If you are a bacteriologist trying to figure out how to choose sgRNAs for your next CRISPRi experiment, might I suggest the following read: https://t.co/hkZWcz0w0n
