Artist Alley Spotlight on... @KawaiiChikkie
"Audra is from Baytown, TX, and graduated from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with a degree in organismal biology. But her artist interests in collecting stationary led her to KawaiiChikkie instead!"

Like everybody else in the world of science, I've been having fun exploring the database of AlphaFold structures. Here are (subunits of) a few proteins that show up often in my paintings. It (amazingly) gets all the bits and pieces right, but doesn't quite yet get the biology.
Illustration „Full of Life” inspired by an article by @DrPhosphine “Life as we know it is likely only one island in the vast archipelago of possibilities for biology. Our galaxy has a huge diversity of stars, and orbiting them are planets of every kind.”

@dreadfuldruid As an Old God, Y'llan doesn't exactly have the most normal biology.
In his more mortal form, he still has an itty bitty tail that can wag a mile a minute!
It's very sweet.

@AcademicChatter Hey Twitter fam!
I’m Mahek pursuing molecular biology.
I making art in any form🎨. It helped me to understand the science in a better and fun way💃 Also I make illustrations for science articles too!
here are some of my artwork!
@SpacemanLemon Oh man, hello! I primarily do retro inspired OC art, with an interest in folklore and speculative biology. I'm working on a few soft sci-fi comics, but for now I mostly just make stuff for tabletop games.
Hey all #AnimalArtistsUnite ! I'm Rachel, I'm a natural history illustrator with a background in biology.
This is one of my Pokémon OCs, Fynn! He is a trans man born in Slateport City in the Hoenn region and he spent most of his childhood around the ocean and in the Oceanic Museum, which sparked his interest in Water-type Pokémon and marine biology.
My next dnd character will be a creative fish-person artificer with a passion for marine biology. His name is Artie Fischer the artsy fisher fish artificer

"I studied Biology. I've always liked drawing and improved my skills while studying human anatomy. After graduating, I pursued my dream as an artist in the end and I have no regrets."

@horiseiza I.... Made myself in a picrew and went.... That would be a cool model...
After that, it kinda tumbled out of control as I went straight to making my model, and eventually planning like pages upon pages of lore, including gargoyle biology.
Seeing as today is #Bookday I want to talk about books 📚
Right now I’m reading non-fiction, Microbe hunters by Paul de Kruif, a book about the discoveries in Microbiology.
What about you people?✨
Some fun speculate biology. Herpaxis are mammalian herbivores who live on grassy steppes in burrows. Males will butt heads for territory control, and the right to mate with a harem of females. The larger ears point back for sounds behind them, with smaller ears pointing forward.
Other races found in the game, though these were more design notes than actually going into their cultures/biology.
The importance and problems of choice, both in Shakespeare and Biology.
If you are a bacteriologist trying to figure out how to choose sgRNAs for your next CRISPRi experiment, might I suggest the following read: https://t.co/hkZWcz0w0n

Marceline turning into an anxiety kaiju due to her hybrid biology.... Steven Universe Future went a bit differently to how I remember it.
Hi! I'm Ingrid, an amateur artist from Russia that studies biology. I draw a lot of animals and landscapes, but you can also see humans and other stuff here!
