I like to add a sharpen filter to emphasize texture on paintings. It can really help bring out the textures of natural brushes, and I just really like the crunchy look in general.

my favorite painting warmup/exercise is "orb". Sometimes I remember to save them. I find it can be a fun way to experiment w brushes, brushwork, technique, color, etc. No pressure, no stakes. Just having fun making an Orb.

Chrono here is the God of Time in our setting. His three tails drip ink and act like brushes, where they are constantly writing out the past, present and potential futures on a never-ending supply of scrolls and books. He's also a bit of a shut-in.

Both are done with 2 brushes, mostly 1 for the whole image (transparent watercolor from clip studio on the left and basic round pen brush from procreate on the right) and a soft brush for both to add in the bloom from the lighting ✨
