The "Oxus Treasures" are artifacts from the Achaemenid Persian Empire that were found at a fort called "Takht-i Kuwad" in modern day Tajikstan
They were found in the 19th century by merchants from Bukhara, and while travelling to Kabul there were robbed

A #stroke describes damage to the #brain from an interruption in the blood supply. The major types are ischaemic (blockage to blood flow), or haemorrhagic (bleed in or around the brain). If the symptoms resolve quickly it's called a transient-ischaemic attack (TIA) #radiology
@sparrouubird @zephuko I make a webcomic about a past life of mine trying to survive in the Achaemenid Empire with the help of a carnivorous unicorn, leusistic cheetah, sarcastic saluki and golden eagle with a secret 😁

The year of the three Emperors in an Achaemenid way. Within the span of one year (424-423 BCE) three Persian kings (Xerxes II, Sogdianus, Darius II) followed one another. A messy entanglement of Palace intrigues and familial feuds led up to that result.
Atusa or Atossa was Queen of the Persian Achaemenid Empire, the daughter of Cyrus, the Great and a half-sister of Cambyses II.
She later married Darius the Great and gave birth to Xerxes the Great
just found this- different picture from present scene?
Chaemera Turles!
Got the idea for a mythological roleplay.
I Had a TON of fun storming this guy up.
Like the usual Chimaera interp, he has features of a lion (mane+paws), goat (legs+horn), and a snake (scales+tail).
His scales are iridescent, based on white lipped python!
Decisive battles in History - The Battle of Gaugamela

So... drow characters huh... 👀💦 I hadn't figured out where the drow fit into my campaign setting until recently so, here is Sahbal (they/them). My drow (at least these drow) are inspired quite a bit by the Ancient Egyptians and Achaemenid Persians. #drow #dnd #dndcharacters
