Makes sense to me. They've used tons of chess imagery. Especially with fiddlesticks new splash art, light and shadows taking place on checkerboard floor tiles. Zoes E and weird dimension magic. I thought of that as an alpha channel how she bends universes

Checker. A bit of an experiment with checkerboard dither. The experiment didn't work great but I might pick it up again later if I think of a better way to approach it.

OKAY THERE. the first dithering manually applied: the dark blue shadow under the legs is now a 50/50 blue-black checkerboard. Looks fine to me!

Tried experimenting more on this one.
I think the "dithering" (the checkerboard-looking arrangement of pixels) gives it some texture and I dig it. I kind of want to go back over my old ones and try it out more.
