Jim Soper's Bugs is probably my favorite. A very tight design with a lot of the flair of the early Clampett cartoons, but still very much its own thing ^^

its either between snarky asshole chuck jones bugs bunny or brash blockhead clampett-mckimson bugs bunny

One of the things I love about Looney Tunes Cartoons is that some shorts really harken back to elements of the Clampett/Avery Bugs.

What I mean by that is that he either doesn’t always win, isn’t always in control, and actually gets upset.

qrt with your current art style and 3 main inspirations!

clampett/scribner influence is no surprise, of course. i’m a sucker for old comics as well! and i love norman rockwell, been planning to redraw that last one with porky as an ode to PORKY’S DUCK HUNT for months. someday! https://t.co/fSx98lOx5a

The Film Fan (1939) is the 268th Looney Tunes short and it gets my commentary treatment here https://t.co/y7VHRHXJeD! Eli Copperman once again joins me for a solid film themed Porky Short

Cigarettes the Cat looks very much like a Bob Clampett-style Looney Tunes characters in Episode 7 of Spümcø's Weekend Pussy Hunt; am I right?

Jim Smith & Aaron Springer shared layout, while Matt Danner animated (and did clean-up with Fred Osmond, Ray Morelli & Todd White)

I like the way Bugs is drawn in Chuck's early 40s cartoons and I hope the next season of the new Looney Tunes shorts could do styles of other WB directors besides Clampett (with a higher level of technical skill than shown here of course)

C is for A Corny Concerto on HBOMax

A parody of a great many Disney films, this short is simply fantastic and yet another feather in the hat of Bob Clampett The music is magical and the animation is superb.

I'd choose a hybrid sort of style between cartoons and anime --with the sensibilities of both Studio Trigger and Bob Clampett stuff.

I just realized that Jim Carrey has a Bob Clampett, Daffy Duck cel in the background.

izzy ellis isn't as funny as davis but i like how he draws daffy as an absent-minded goon as he did in the early clampett years

Bob Clampett's work has to be one of my favorites if not the one out of all the Looney Tunes animators

And some trivia bein that Clampett's "Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs" is one of John K.'s favorite shorts

A CORNY CONCERTO is definitely a classic, a delightful parody of FANTASIA. once more one of the rare (and last) times where porky and bugs are on screen together. hilarious animation by rod scribner (i love how ugly porky is, yes to those wrinkles.) bob clampett voices the dog.

meanwhile, clampett was experimenting more with daffy, and porky was getting sidelined into more arbitrary roles, such as the judge in THE HENPECKED DUCK. a highly entertaining cartoon that has some pretty moody shots. daffy is much more subdued in comparison to previous shorts

one of bob clampett’s many retakes. PATIENT PORKY is a much more inferior remake of THE DAFFY DOC, with dr. chilled-air (kildare) in place of daffy. hearing mel do his marvin voice is pretty amusing, though.
