July 18, 1950, American geologist Mignon Talbot, the first woman to find and describe a dinosaur - a species of Coelophysis 🦖 - died https://t.co/53MDlt8scO Drawing by https://t.co/sefyGoaMln

A bit too busy all of a sudden to make artwork that I can share, so here are some feathered dinosaurs from less packed times~

Either way, as I said, I was going down a different path, mainly concerning the integument. Coelophysis bauri also recieved some interestingly progressive covering, tho the extent of the feathers is obviously dated (aka legs don't get plumage for some reason)

“A young female Coelophysis bauri quietly wandering trough the plains of Pangaea, wondering if somewhere there's a male who will accept her as she is, despite her scars and mutilations.”

I spent way too long on this guy going through so many eye styles. I decide to do anime as a joke and ended up liking it... Anyway, here's Coelophysis!

Enjoyed reading the tweets about Lovelace’s talk on about the likelihood that Coelophysis was well insulated. Let me remind you of my reconstructions of insulated Coelophysis, also perfect for 😊

06/31 Coelophysis!

Being my state fossil, I’ve always had a soft spot for coelophysis. It was a swift predator that may or may not have lived in large groups, but regardless, their presence marks a turning point for life on earth: the true dawn of the dinosaurs!
