It'd be interesting to know the motivation for not releasing a stand-alone print edition of D.N.Angel Are they trying to improve the dwindling sales numbers for ASUKA or do they think there's only little interest in D.N.Angel (which used to have a considerable fanbase)? 🤔

Out today: the May issue of fantasy shoujo manga magazine ASUKA with Samamiya Akaza's Ballad Opera on the cover. It comes with the latest volume (#16) of Sugisaki Yukiru's D.N.ANGEL - the only way to obtain the print edition atm! (The digital edition was released in February.)

D.N.ANGEL news round-up: the print edition of vol. 16 will come with ASUKA (out 3/23). At Animate, it will come with an extra dust jacket. In 2020, the series by Sugisaki Yukiru will also be getting a Complete Edition in large A5 format with new cover art and color pages!

Sugisaki Yukiru's D.N.Angel is being serialized in ASUKA pretty regularly atm. Comic volume 16 was released digitally only on January 24. It was just announced in ASUKA 4 that the print edition of vol. 16 will be included as an extra with ASUKA 5, out March 23!

Although to be fair, my primary school had a whole shelf of Asterix comics, which was all I'd read. AND before I was a shonen boy, I got my start in manga with shoujo titles like Pita-Ten and D.N.Angel.
