Been playing some emulators on my Steam Deck and started playing Burning Rangers on the Sega Saturn. Honestly pretty fun, but the best part is how the 2nd playable character Tillis sports a bodysuit. Definitely an obscure waifu

First and foremost, Silent Hill 1 is very easy to play. You can still buy ($6) and download it on your PS3. Otherwise, you can easily find an ISO and play it on Duckstation (Dolphin-equivalent emulator for PS1). You can even make it go widescreen, if you'd like!

I like scan-lines on, if the emulator does a good CRT look — and not all of them do.

But when I'm taking screenshots that will be posted to twitter — where I can't guarantee the resolution/scale they'll be viewed at — I do the basic 2x chunky pixels. Avoids weird wavy artefacts.

It's a cute (and weird) little historical curiosity. The emulator I used to play this on Wii makes the game feel naturally suited to the pointer controls

I kinda wonder if I trivialized the challenge that way, though. My time was too smooth sailing

My favorite arcade games for a long while were the Vector style games like STAR WARS by Atari, Star Trek and Battlezone..
Still to this day want a Vectrex.
