I don't think I've mentioned this but I'm using a randomizer and one did I randomized were the evolutions. My Totodile evolved into a Samurott and my Beldum evolved into a Skarmory.

So I've thought about what kind of starter Pokemon would show up in a Hoenn-based Legends theme, and my mind went to Turtwig, Popplio, and Scorbunny.
