I haven’t watched a full episode of any of the recent stuff but I honestly hate how downhill the art went over the yrs :/ esp the white washing. It’s always had a unique exaggerated style but not like this. Nani was sooo cute early on what did they do to her 😭

The director said in an interview that they deliberately exaggerated the size for this scene since they wanted to reflect Mahiro’s experience of the situation. They’re not that big in the regular scenes! The size in the anime reference design is not that different from the manga.

You can kind of see it, yeah? My cartoonish self is much more exaggerated, of course, because it's fun and stylized! Real life not so much, but you can sort of see where I am getting at with the hair. When my hair is longer it weighs itself down more, so a bit more noticeable

I'm drawing so many over-exaggerated angles that it's quite difficult to get the faces correctly, I'm not quite sure how this story will develop either, I don't know who should be enjoying what… but I still like what I've drawn so far, haha

Thinking about how perfectly World Seeker replicates how Oda draws Zoro in fights.

All the way down to the slight exaggerated proportions and hit sparks. It's such a small detail but ngl it kinda makes World Seeker that much cooler to me.

I am gonna be honest, sometimes it feels like vtubing pushes a certain niche, like act cuter, be more loud and exaggerated, etc.
