Continuing with the platformer genre, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series was a really solid port of the Klonoa games!
It's far from perfect, but man I don't care, just seeing this franchise get attention again warmed my heart so much. Here's to a potential new game!

The problem with using Jump the Shark is he thematically resists upgrades and powerups. He wants to have all his powers from the word go.

But Action Adventure is my favorite genre, with Metroidvania being the crown jewel, and upgrades are core.

I think you're right that it is a part of the genre, but I also think it really depends on the artist. The artist of To Your Eternity have the best designs (and writing) of women hands down. Look at hayase. Your eyes are drawn to her armor then to her face and body. /c

What I thought of Duke Evans when I first saw his sprite lmao. Anyway, I got addicted to a game called Harvest Town. Been playing it for 2 weeks. Its kinda like Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley. If you're into those genre, you should check it out.
