Sign up now for the chance to win original art pages from the book! 60 pages! Full colour! Art complete BEFORE the campaign even goes live! Back with confidence! Better art and writing than mainstream comics! (Sorry JRJR!)
10. Kill the Beyonder (Uncanny 202-203) Claremont and JRJR aren't particularly known for "cosmic" but they GO FOR IT here. Kitty uses Illyana's Soul Sword, and Rachel mindlinks with every life form in the entire universe to beat some dude in a tracksuit. Big weird cosmic comics.
4. Two Girls Out to Have Fun (Uncanny 189) Rachel and Magma go on a date ❤️. Leialoha's blocky inks are perfect for JRJR's blocky shapes and I wish they had done more work together. Claremont predicts 9/11 in this one. Great forgotten done-in-one issue.
Everything is here: JRJR rain, Lifedeath, Storm with a gun, Colossus breaking Kitty's heart, Juggernaut breaking Colossus's face, origin of Rachel Grey, Rogue's best costume, Forge, Selene, Professor X doing his goofy psychic projection T-pose thing. Peak X-Men comics.
Jesus CBR. You got the art wrong for JRJR too. This is Dave Seguin. Can’t believe I didn’t catch that. Scrolled past and thought it was this piece BY John Romita Jr. lmao
JRJR gets a lot of (honestly, kinda deserved) grief about his DC Comics output. I don't know if it's the schedule kicking his ass or if he's just phoning it in, but I just wanted to throw a reminder out there of how great his art can truly be.
Its just a variant cover but does anyone know if this is new JRJR art or something marvel pulled from their archives and recolored? I'm curious if JRJR's DC exclusive contract lapsed.
No good commentary here, I'm really just still admiring the amount of personality and character JRjr always gets into his Peter Parker. What a good face. What a jerk. I love him.
I'm a colorist looking to pick up some new projects heading into next year. #PortfolioDay (lineart by Hester/Gapstur, Joseph Cooper, JRJR)
His Daredevil is where the Modern JRJR style I feel comes together, his take on DD's world and creation of villainsess typhoid Mary made him a name for fans, his work on Frank Miller Project the Man without fear also gave him a lot of prominence.
This was a pinup special with everyone: JRJR, Hitch, Pacheco, Lashley, Larrocca, Sharp, Tucci, Quesada, Balent, Dodson, Allred, McKone, Wieringo, Scroce, Davis, Sale...basically everyone who was drawing in ‘95!
My review of Action Comics #1024:

The Superman Family (note capital letters) out for justice!
An early favorite for Supergirl Moment #1 for 2020. She's bringing help, hope, and compassion! And Kara/Querl!
Solid issue by @BRIANMBENDIS and JRJR.
Posting this again because I want to. :) #coloristjam for JRJR's spiderman thanks to @whoisrico
@DrStoneDevil @jpmoney1999 It's the last page from the Amazing Spider-Man v2 #35 by JMS & JRJR. But May's immediate reaction is in the preview of #37. (#36 was the special 9/11 tribute issue.) The preview is available anywhere so I don't think it's spoiler or anything...here.
@TheCodyMcLemore @MarveIFacts It's true in the 616 continuity. Amazing Spider-Man v2 #38 by JMS & JRJR.
@amankwahlarose @MarveIFacts It's 616 Peter. Amazing Spider-Man v2 #38 by JMS & JRJR.
@philhester @himwhatjolts @brookturner That Iron Man is one of my all time favorites. JRJR inked by Layton. Really great work. There are other images I found, but they would ruin the story.
